Ada Park Advisory Council (Ada PAC) is part of the Chicago Parks District. The PAC advocates for the park as a 501(c)(3) organization through the Chicago Parks Foundation.
The Volunteer Council is made up of 12 board members whose goal is to create community engagement through education and events. Their desire is to bring everyone together so they can evolve as a community, promote entrepreneurship, and bring more Black-owned businesses to Morgan Park (East).
The Ada PAC meets on a regular basis to support the effective functioning of their local park. Councils promote ways for the community to better utilize the Chicago Park District’s programs and facilities; provide communication to the Chicago Park District on matters relating to their parks; increase community awareness of Chicago Park District projects; provide the community with a vehicle through which park information can be shared, and assist in locating alternate funding sources to enhance park facilities. In an effort to do these things, many councils host events and other related activities throughout the year.
